Reviews
Don't take our word for it - read through our customer reviews. All of these have been published without any editing.Cairo museum, train, Nubian village, felluca
[Least enjoyed] Dreadful hotel in Aswan. No idea why you use it unless the rooms they showed you were completely different to the ones we stayed in. View amazing, but too far out of town, stuck there, train late so missed excusions. Building work until midnight right outside my window. No sheets on bed, aircon broken. Tour guide offered to swap rooms but my daughter was settled in bed and wanted to be next door to rest of family. also, you are far too ambitious with distance in felluca. We spent most of the time being towed by a motor boat to get to our destination. Would have far rather just only attempted shorter distance and sailed.
absolutely loved all the different modes of transport. Real highlight.
As before Aswan Hotel absolutely apalling. Rest fine, in fact very good and excellent. Felluca amazing. Oasis hotel Cairo excellent (but took SO long to get there) but very far away. Nile Valley in Luxor perfect location and quality. Sunny Days in Hurghada was interesting. Nice but food horrid and staff surley but the view made up for that.
Generally hotels should be more central so as not to waste time travelling
Medo was amazing.'He gave us the best holiday ever' quote Florence age 9. Felt totally comfortable and safe in his hands. Often provided extras we hadn't though of such as sea sickness pills, lunch!, chewing gum, ipod charger. He was such a lovely guy too, he couldn't do enough for us. Why isn't he doing all the trips? I have been to Egypt before with another adventure company using British guide which was no where near as effective.

Fantastic trip overall made all the more special by our excellent Tour Guide Medo who was a top guy.He was thoughtful in his care of us and keen to display his knowledge in an interesting way for the children and adults alike.
Very difficult to identify highlights but felucca, snorkelling and sleeper train experience were very special and a great balance to all the historical sights.
We did not like the hotel in Aswan which was situated in the middle of a bulding site.
Although hotel in Hurghada was 4*and in a good location it was very large and the food was of poor quality. We would have preferred something more like the one in Luxor.
As previously mentioned we did not like the hotel in Aswan and there were problems in several of the rooms.
Hotel in Cairo was good and the one in Luxor lovely.
Felucca was great and sleeper train accomodation good.

We thought our local guide was outstanding
[Least enjoyed] The trip from Luxor to Hurgada and the stay in Hurgada
Mr M - Travelled in February 2012
The whole trip exceeded expectations, however our amazing guide Medou made the trip. He arranged everything so smoothly, took great care of us and had a wonderful sense of humour. His knowledge and passion for his country were really inspirational.
One small thing though, we thought the hotel in Aswan wasn't very clean, particularly the bathrooms. Other than that the accommodation was very satisfactory.
We least enjoyed the two nights in Hurghada and staying at the huge resort hotel. While it was lovely to see the Red Sea, and we understand the logistical reasons for staying in Hurghada, we felt it was hidously touristy and would have preferred staying somewhere more authentically Egyptian and quieter on the Red Sea; El Quesir or Marsa Alam, and flying back to Cairo from there.
Apart from Hurghada we felt the itinerary was paced just right to get a real flavour of Egypt.
As previously, Aswan Hotel not the cleanest and while the Hurghada was not to our taste at all, it was clean and very functional
He was fantastic in every aspect. It was very sad to say Goodbye, my 7yr old cried at the thought of not seeing Medou again.

We had a local guide, Medo Salam, and we could not heap enough praises on him. He was brilliant and made the holiday truely unforgettable, for all the right reasons.
We enjoyed all of it equally, but the Valley of the Kings, is un-missable.
He was brilliant.
