Machu picchu was fantastic

Machu picchu was fantastic and the guide Solay Conde Casafranca provided fantastic information with such amazing passion. Cusco was a lovely city it would have been nice to do a city tour. Everything was fantastically well organised and ran very smoothly and this was definitely helped by the efficiently of our guide Solay.

[Least enjoyed] It was initially difficult aclimatising to altitude .

Solay Conde Casafranca was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable about the area and delivered the information in an interesting way.

the trip was amazing

the trip was amazing and the fantastic tour guides made it even better!! Climbing mount machu picchu was definately a highlight, learning all about the incas was fascinating,i also enjoyed visiting the floating islands and sitting out listening to the monkeys and birds in the jungle.

[Least enjoyed] not knowing anything about how we were getting to the jungle or about our return flights from the jungle to lima it made us all a bit nervous especially since i had rang previously to request further information and was told i would be sent something - which never came!!

change the imformation on departure tax as you no longer have to pay this.

[Accommodation] everywhere was friendly, clean and in easy walking distance to places to visit.

our leaders were fantastic i couldn't rate them high enough they were enthusiastic and so organised that i just trusted what they said which meant it was a stress free holiday which added so much value to the trip!!

machu picchu

machu picchu and the knowledge of our excellent guide. Make up of our group.

[Least enjoyed] The  coach from puno to cusco, the guide was difficult to engage with!

[Comments on itinerary] more clarity on travel arrangements on the amazon extension part.   Description of the bungalow in Sandoval lodge, a bit more basic than expected.

Overall a fantastic trip with a great itinerary

Going to Machu Picchu, the Uros islands and also visiting the Amazon were highlights for me.

A few small things which could have been improved upon were that initially I thought that I was meeting my group on my second day in Lima as stated on my itinerary however, I didn't actually meet them until I the end of the third say in Puno. Also, I wasn't informed prior to my trip that I was actually meeting a group who had already spent approximately 5 days together.  I do appreciate though thet I was a very last minute booking and staff were very helpful trying to organise everything at such last minute.  I was  very impressed with the guide Alvera in Peru.  She was an excellent guide with fantastic local knowledge! Pepe the guide in the Amazon was also good.  I do think though that 2 nights at the Sandoval lodge would have been sufficient as on the third day we were only seeing the same types of animals.  Overall though it was a fantastic trip with a great itinerary!  Thank you Adventure Company!  I will certainly be booking with you again!

Alvera was our group leader in Peru and she was a fantastic guide and made the holiday! She was friendly, with a great wealth of knowledge and she was very friendly and helpful.  She made the trip for me and exceeded my expectations as a guide!

machu pichu

machu pichu

[Least enjoyed] none it was all an experiance

I would only stay in the sacred valley for one night max and and would rather stay a night or two in Ollantaytambo instead

Alot of the hotels had very little heatingand it was quite cold in them at altitude

Max was a great tour leader and very experienced in his job and he led a gentle pace and made every member enjoy the tour
with his relaxed atitude while still being very professional in his job

Looking down on Machu Picchu surrounded by cloud.

Looking down on Machu Picchu surrounded by cloud.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Great guide.

[Least enjoyed] international flight

[Accommodation] wireless internet is available at all locations.

I was well aware of the risks involved and they were also explained to me that climbing above Machu Picchu was on a narrow, steep and unguarded track. apart from that I think it is exected when you book through an adventure company that perhaps not all of the Health and Safety aspects are going to be of a European standard.

excellent
