Inca Heartland

In the Sacred Valley you’ll spend time exploring the fascinating profusion of Inca sites. There’s a free day for optional rafting, horse riding or mountain biking in the Urubamba Valley. Travel by train for a stunning ride to the most famous and impressive Inca site of all - the lost city of Machu Picchu. Your journey ends in delightful Cusco.

Lake Titicaca

The highest navigable lake in the world and the birthplace of the Inca empire, Titicaca is a stunning expanse of vibrant blue water. Here you visit the floating reed islands of the Uros Indians and explore Taquile Island with its traditional way of life. Crossing the altiplano you pass typical Andean villages as you head to the centre of Inca civilisation. This trip is ideal for solo travellers and groups.

Inti Raymi

Now the second largest festival in South America, Inti Raymi is a modern enactment of an ancient Inca ritual, taking place at the winter solstice to honour the Sun God and pray for the return of longer days.

There is a whole week of activities and celebration in the streets of Cusco culminating with a procession and ceremonial display at Sacsayhuaman on the outskirts of the city. The main display takes place on the 24th of July, however, the real fun is found in the streets on the days leading up to this. Tickets can be arranged for the display locally (not included) but all marked dates will experience the festivities in Cusco in the days leading up to the 24th.
