Jeremy Stephenson & Travel Photography
Jeremy Stephenson is a passionate photographer and wildlife lover. He grew up in Tanzania and developed his skills in the national parks, learning about the landscape and how to capture the perfect shot on family camping trips in the bush. His work has now been published in the acclaimed work En-Kata and he runs workshops to help improve the skills of others.
Wild life through a lens
Over the vast expanse of Mikumi National Park, you will track lions, zebra, wildebeest, impala and great herds of buffalo. You’ll get up, close and personal with these magnificent creatures and learn how to take the perfect shot. Then, discover the unique coastal landscape of Saadani National Park, where bush meets beach.
Photography Challenges
To help you practice your skills, you will be set a series of exciting photography challenges! You will be accompanied out into the field, as, over the course of the trip, you create your own portfolio of images to take home with you. You will have the opportunity to receive detailed feedback on your work. Everything you learn closely follows the GCSE / Key Stage 4 Curriculum. But we find Tanzania is a more stimulating classroom!
A Taste of Paradise
Zanzibar’s white coral sands, shimmering Indian Ocean and lush palms are dazzling. Practise photography from a different perspective when you visit atmospheric Stone Town’s winding streets, bleached stone buildings and the colourful cultural influences of Africa and Islam.
Photography kit
We do ask that you bring your own camera along with you. Jeremy will be on hand to show you how to make the most out of your own equipment. So you can continue to take fantastic shots once you return home!
