Culture & Discovery

The diversity of the Western Cape of South Africa is what makes it so unique and a great family holiday. You'll experience dramatic scenery, learn about local community (Xhosa) famous for their face painting, support the endangered wildlife, and have the opportunity to taste the hidden gem of the wine world, and try to eat delicacies such as ostrich meat & eggs.

The Garden Route

From Knysna & Plettenberg Bay, you'll join the Garden Route, traversing South Africa's coast before ending up in Cape Town. En route you'll stop at the beautiful coastal towns of Wilderness with its gorgeous National parks and Hermanus, famous for the whale watching. Your final stop is in Cape Town, where you will meet penguins and have the opportunity to go up the magnificent Table Mountain.

Wildlife encounter

On your family holiday you will meet endangered wildlife and support conservation projects while having a close encounter with them, such as the Cheetah outreach, the Oudtshoorn meerkats and elephant sanctuary. Along the way you will also get to see penguins, seals, baboons, and if during summer holidays, even whales.

Unusual and outstanding lodges

All our lodges and hotels have a swimming pool, and are located in unique locations. Some are hidden in the heart of the vineyards, or farmhouse with cosy chalet by the lake, or lovely hotel right on the Knysna Heads riverside.
