Mt. Etna

One of several active volcanoes in Sicily, Etna is the most famous and the largest in Europe. You climb to the summit, and can learn more about the nature of volcanoes in the nearby museum.

Alcantara Gorge & Taormina

The wild scenery of the Alcantara Gorge, with its high rocky walls and running water, is a great natural beauty and you have the chance to walk along the gorge, before visiting Taormina, originally founded in the 5th century by the Greeks, then known as Naxos.

Siracusa & Pantalica

Rich in Greek history, Siracusa was once a powerful city state. The ancient remains will bring to vivid life ancient memories of Roman times. Among the famous sites are the Greek amphitheatre and the Ear of Dionysus, while the necropolis of Pantalica contains over 5,000 caves and temples.

Cassibile Nature Reserve

Formed at the mouth of the river, the great canyon of Cassibile is an awe inspiring sight. Take a pottery lesson and learn one of the world's oldest artistic techniques!
