Trip Overview:

At 19,336 feet, snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania is Africa's highest peak. It is the world's tallest walkable mountain, and what a walk it is. You ascend through five different ecological zones to reach the summit.

Kilimanjaro is the world's highest free standing, snow-covered equatorial mountain. Picturing the towering snow-covered cone rising majestically from fertile green foothills is definitelly something to experience.

This is the classic, most straightforward route up Kilimanjaro, staying in the relative comfort of mountain huts. If you don’t like the idea of crawling into a tent after a day’s hiking, this trip is for you. On your way up you’ll traverse through several ecosystems too; Walk through forests and alpine meadows, over rocky ravines and past lunar landscapes to the spectacular summit of Africa's highest peak. This classic trek follows the most popular route to Mont Kilimanjaro and is the only one serviced by mountain huts, to provide protection from the elements. It's the most direct path to the summit and covers the trail in just six days, with the help of experienced guides and porters.

Kilimanjaro - The Roof of Africa

The classic, most straight forward route up Kilimanjaro, staying in mountain huts. This exhilarating six-day climb is fully supported by a team of experienced mountain guides and porters. As you gain altitude you’ll climb through several ecosystems – lush rainforest, moorland and finally the bare high altitude desert of the upper slopes

We include the park fees in our price, worth US$635 (US$745 from July 2013)

The park fees, which are mandatory, are included in our price. When comparing prices make sure you factor this is in as they are US$635 or £420 per person (From July 2013 the fee increases to US$745 or GBP £480). It's a daily rate so it varies between trips, broadly speaking it's £80 a day. This includes the entrance permit to the National Park, the camping/hut permit within the park and the Mount Kilimanjaro Rescue Fee.

Stay in mountain huts rather than a tent

A real experience with slightly more comfort than sleeping on the ground as you will get to rest in a bed in the mountain hut dormitories. A great way to make new friends and share the magical experience of the trek. All huts on the route are manned and in radio contact with the Park Headquarters at Marangu.
