The Lemosho Route and the few trekkers across the Shira Platou.
[Least enjoyed] The rushed descent from summit makes a very long day - it seems unnecessary. Also the high emphasis by the guide on tipping - this should be at the discretion of the client. We should not have to tip the bus driver to drive the bus to the gate - then another tip to drive us back !! Do not mind to tip the porters & guides but should be completed at client's convenience and discretion - not the head guides decision. Did not like being told how and how much to tip.
Trip itinerary was good. Good acclimitisation. Food good at first but understandably poor as trip progressed.
More popular campsites are far too busy and have poor toilet facilites so can smell badly. Should restrict numbers and improve waste facilities.
The assistant guides probably did most of the organising - they were very good.

***** Comment from The Adventure Company*****
We are very sorry to read about the pressure the guide placed on customers to tip the driver. We have been in long discussions with our ground agent about this matter as tipping should be at the discretion of the customer and we have stressed that we do not want the guides placing any pressure on our customers with respect to how much to tip. We are monitoring the feedback we receive on tipping very closely. We are prepared to review our tipping policy if we feel that our clients are being coerced into paying more than they think is fair.
Watching the sunrise over Africa from Uhuru Peak :-)
William was our group leader. He was a local guide who lived locally and loved the mountain. He was hugely knowledgeable and very experienced and had climbed Mount Kilimanjaro more than 150m times! He made the whole experience fun and none of us would have got to the top of the mountain without his advice / expertise.
