Reviews
Don't take our word for it - read through our customer reviews. All of these have been published without any editing.Sam, our local guide in Jordan, was excellant. The whole trip was action packed and Petra in particular was amazing.

Visiting Petra and the night in the desert.
[Least enjoyed] The hotel in Aqaba. The hotel was not particularly welcoming (unlike the hotel in Wadi Musa which was lovely), the rooms were fairly low standard (and there was water pouring through a light fitting in the bathroom in one of our rooms), and noisy parrot in reception drove us mad!

Petra. Desert overnight in Wadi Rum.
[Least enjoyed] Travel. But coach and driver were both good with A/C and plenty of room.
Aquaba was probably the least nice accommodation. Child bed was usually OK but quite basic and uncomfortable in some locations. Best value stop over was probly at Petra where the hotel and pool were good. 5-star in Dead Sea was unprepared for our arrival and there were some problems at that hotel with very loud music all day long, catering for locals
Local Guide Osama Twal was VERY good.. good knowledge, good organisation, good with the children. He made xtr effort to ensure our holiday was great.

DESERT CAMP, PETRA, DEAD SEA
THE FIRST COUPLE OF DAYS WERE TOO MUCH, I WOULD LEAVE OUT MOST OF THE STUFF IN AMAN AND GONE TO JERASH ON THE FIRST MORNING, THEN DOWN TO MADABAR FOR THE NIGHT CARRING ON WITH THE REST OF THE TRIP AS WAS.
There should be more water fountains in hotels so less plastic is used. If this could also happen on the bus it would make it more possible to reuse bottles
RAMI OUR GUIDE WAS OUTSTANDING, HIS KNOWLEDGE AND TAKE ON EVERYTHING WAS PERFECTLY PITCHED. IT WAS LOVELY BEING IN OUR OWN CAMP IN THE DESERT AND THE BOAT ON THE RED SEA WAS OF A VERY GOOD STANDARD
THE BEST GUIDE WE HAVE EVER HAD
Mr B travelled in April 2012
Drive and overnight stay in Wadi Rum with visiting musicians.
Had a fantastic time.

Petra, Wadi Rum
[least enjoyed] Hotel Toledo - ambivalent service, awful food, noisy and dirty rooms.
Other hotels were good.
Fantastic trip!
Amer was excellent - enthusiastic, passionate about Jordan, flexible, attentive and open.
Mr E travelled in April 2012
camel ride in desert and petra. dead sea hotel v good
aqaba. a real disappointment. arrived too late after long journey to go out snorkeling, hotel mediocre, resort not very pleasant. would have preferred 2 days at dead sea.
Ahmed was fantastic

The highlights of the trip were:
Petra - having seen it in photos and movies I thought I might be underwhelmed by the reality. Far from it though. The kids loved being in places where their favourite movies had been filmed - Transformers 2, Indiana Jones 3.
Wadi Rum - the desert is spectacular and the private bedouin camp a fantastic experience. The kids helped Mahmood, the excellent camp host, to collect firewood, build the fire and cook dinner. The 4x4 jeep ride through the desert was great fun along with climbing onto the rock bridge.
Amer, our group leader throughout our stay, made the trip especially magical. Nothing was too much bother for him and time was never an issue. He is so proud and passionate about his country and delights in sharing as much or as little information about Jordanian life, custom, culture and history as you want. We came back with a much better understanding of Jordan and the Middle East as a whole. He is great with kids - they loved him. He took us to some great restaurants - every meal was delicious and fine tuned the itinerary to match our interests. We felt completely safe throughout our stay, not least of all because of Amer's confident leadership and our driver, Khamal's, good driving. Amer is clearly very well connected on the tourist circuit - everyone seems to know him - and this had clear advantages to our group. He made the trip for us!
Wadi Rum camp camel ride to see sunrise-truly magical, Petra-awe inspiring
Aqaba-advertised as beach/snorkelling, bit of a nothing destination. Snorkelling was ok but boat very slow, wasted 90 mins in transit
Should have been told that church at mt Nebo was closed for reconstruction
As a married couple I expected double beds not twins
International class hotels should serve alcohol
A lovely guy, knowledgable, helpful, funny and interesting
Mr B - Travelled in February 2012
Petra exceeded my expectations. Toursim is down 75% in Jordan according to a local cab driver, and you could tell. As a tourist you have amazing historical sites to enjoy almost all to yourself. Sunset in Amman sitting at the Wild Jordan Cafe overlooking the citadel, hiking to the top of the Monestary (Petra) with a view "the world", snorkeling in the red sea, Mt. Nebo, the dead sea...wherever you went you could fully enjoy the experience. The people are exceptionally nice in Jordan. If there is a time to visit - it is now!
Bassam was extremely knowledgable about Jordan and filled in down time on the bus with interesting and engaging stories about the history of this amazing country. He went the extra mile helping out the other family when their child was not feeling well.
