Andrew Newey & Responsible Photography
Andrew Newey is a professional photographer with over 10 years experience. Specialising in travel, his work has appeared in all the top travel publications, including Wanderlust, Lonely Planet, Rough Guides and Sunday Times Travel, as well as the prestigious Traveller’s Tales exhibition at the Royal Geographic Society. He is an experienced teacher and is passionate about documenting traditional cultures and capturing dramatic landscapes, bustling cities and human emotion.
Photography Challenges
To help you practice your skills, Andrew will set a series of exciting photography challenges! He will guide you through the atmospheric alleyways, elaborate temples and out into the bush, where you will try to take the perfect shot of a tiger! Over the course of the trip, you create your own portfolio of images to take home with you. With lots of opportunities to receive detailed feedback on your work. Everything you learn closely follows the GCSE / Key Stage 4 Curriculum. But we find India is a far more stimulating classroom!
Ancient Wonders & Wildlife
From the Taj Mahal, one of the new 'Seven Wonders of the World' to the Palace of the Winds in Jaipur, you will explore some of the most celebrated buildings in history. You'll also enter Ranthambore National Park, one of the most famous wildlife reserves in India. Watch out for crocodiles, sambar deer and monkeys and get your camera ready: If you're very lucky, you may snap a Bengal tiger!
Photography Kit
We do ask that you bring your own camera along with you. Your photography expert will be on hand to show you how to make the most out of your own equipment. So you can continue to take fantastic shots once you return home!
