The Inca Trail - Teenage Adventure
Trek the famous Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Walk through lush valleys, past rushing rivers beneath imposing peaks. Feel the mystery of Inca legend as you explore the various ruins en route to the Sun Gate and your first sight of the unbelievable Inca citadel. The incredible engineering and effort taken to build this world heritage site and new wonder of the world was clearly worth it - this is truly a sight to behold.
In Cusco you'll have to time to walk the streets and become familiar with the pre-Colombian architecture around the city. You can also stock up on supplies for the trail. Once out in the mountains, it will be you and the guides, porters and cooks camping high above the clouds. What an adventure!
Transport - Minibus, train, boat, mountain bike, on foot, domestic flight, raft.
Accommodation - Hotels (4nts), camping (3nts), basic hotel (1nt).

The Inca Trail
You'll spend four days walking along the famous Inca Trail, enjoying fabulous views as you go. The campsites need to be seen to be believed, you might find your self perched above the clouds looking out on the craggy peaks of the Andes over breakfast! You'll trek beside rivers, explore ancient ruins and walk through cloud forest, before arriving at the culmination of your trek - Machu Picchu.
Start Trek
A real highlight of the tour! You will walk through the patchwork fields high above the Sacred Valley of the Incas. On the way, you will stay in a local village house for the night and soak up the culture and lifestyle of the Andean people. In the morning, you'll collect mountain bikes and descend into Ollantaytambo past the Inca site of Moray and the salt pans at Maras. This is an easy ride but a safety car is always on hand if you need a rest.
Cusco & The Sacred Valley
The ancient Inca Capital and one of the biggest pre-hispanic settlements in America. Here, you'll discover the impressive temple fortress of Sacsayhuaman. See colourful Pisac market and stay in the Valle Sagrado (Sacred Valley), a lovely fertile valley which produces maize and fruit for the Cusco region.
Extend your trip - Galapagos Islands, Amazon Rainforest or Iguacu Falls
This shorter trip allows you to choose how to end the holiday. If you want to go the rainforest then you can. If you want to go the Galapagos Islands, you can do that too.
