Check what’s included!
Make sure you check what’s included when choosing your family trip to Nepal. Our trip includes a charter vehicle and walking tour with a local guide of some of the best landmarks in the Kathmandu Valley. You will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Pasupatinath and the medieval town of Bhaktapur. Including your trip to the steamy jungle in Chitwan National Park, you’ll visit 6 of the 10 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Nepal.
You’ll have a fully supported fun overnight camping trek which is suitable for children aged 7 years and above. You’ll stay in beautiful rural corners of Nepal – Bandipur and Nuwakot, where you’ll stay in restored traditional village houses. The curious local children will almost certainly challenge the kids to a game of football or cricket. Our trip also includes a stay at Begnas Lake Resort, where you’ll arrive by boat – the kids will love the pool here. After your visit to the steamy jungle in Chitwan National Park, we include a scenic flight back to Kathmandu. We also include plenty of delicious meals on the trip - 11 breakfasts, 5 lunches and 7 dinners.
We know that a network of local trek staff can be a great support on any trek. You’ll have an experienced trip leader, we also employ an assistant guide for every three passengers, two porters for every one passenger and a team of kitchen staff too, all to ensure you have a hearty team full of friendly and knowledgeable faces to assist you along the way. We are serious about porter welfare, please see our Porter Protection Policy for more details: http://www.adventurecompany.co.uk/responsible-travel/porters-policy
Chitwan National Park
Descending into the steamy jungle of Chitwan NP you’ll explore by dugout canoe – a great way to see the jungle and get close to the animals. A highlight will undoubtedly be an elephant-back safari in search of rhinos!
The Himalayas
Venturing to Begnas, you’ll get your first glimpse of the snow-capped peaks of the mighty Himalaya from your lakeside resort. Porters will carry your luggage (perhaps the kids too, for a price!) as you walk into the foothills. During the trek you’ll gain a fascinating insight into the lives of the friendly Nepalese. Parents and kids alike will love the contact with local villagers.
Secluded Villages
You'll head to the rural village of Nuwakot for a delightful stay in a converted farm house. Explore the village and surroundings, then move on to Bandipur, another forgotten gem. Bandipur's excellent Himalayan views and distinct Newari architecture make this a wonderful place to visit.
