This is an extended version of our 'Feluccas and Pharaohs' trip giving you more time to discover Egypt, at a relaxed pace. This trip is full of fun and discovery - sail on a felucca along the Nile, explore ancient monuments and snorkel over coral reefs. From camel races, to pharaohs tombs and secret pyramid rooms exploration, this will entertain all the familly with culture history, adventures, relaxing time, a complete experience! You will enjoy the overnight in the train, in your very own 'couchette', and sleeping under a blanket of stars on the deck of a felucca like in the pharaohs times. Then enjoy a well deserved chill out time on the beach, and snorkel in the Red Sea, with some of the richest reefs and marine life in the world, what a treat!
Transport - Minibus, train, felucca, calesh (horse-drawn carriage), boat, on foot, domestic flight.

We include your flight back from Hurghada to Cairo for your comfort, with an extra night in Cairo for the last minute shopping and farewell good bye to the pyramids. The hotels you will be staying in are family friendly and of a good range with all amenities needed such as restaurant and swimming pool. You will also have the unique experience of spending overnight on a traditional felucca sailing boat.
Pyramids & Colourful Aswan
In Cairo, visit the famous pyramids at Giza and the Egyptian Museum. A great experience is to travel by overnight train in Egypt. You journey to Aswan, gateway to Nubia and Africa beyond, where you'll explore lively bazaars and eat a traditional meal at a Nubian house.
Nile Felucca
Taking to the Nile you'll travel by age-old felucca sailboat, used by the Egyptians for centuries. Along the way you'll meet locals and enjoy the passing scenery. At night, you'll tie-up at the riverbank and listen to Nubian songs and drums around a campfire.
Luxor & on to the Red Sea
In Luxor you'll head to the famous Valley of the Kings, travelling by horse-drawn carriage to the mammoth temples of Karnak where you can learn to read hieroglyphs, telling of life thousands of years ago. You can also enjoy an optional hot air balloon ride (additional charge). You'll head across the desert to Hurghada and spend a day snorkelling over colourful coral reefs from your boat. The Red Sea has many different fish for you to spot. Finally, back to Cairo for your last night in the Land of the Pharaohs!
