Trip Overview:

'Feluccas and Pharaohs' is our number one Egypt tour and Egypt is our most popular destination. This trip is full of fun and discovery - sail on a felucca along the Nile, explore ancient monuments and snorkel over coral reefs. Starting in Cairo on this Egypt tour, visit the only remaining wonder of the ancient world, the magnificent Pyramids at Giza. Travel by overnight train to Aswan where there is time for a fun camel ride (additional charge) and dinner with a local Nubian family. Then board your felucca for a true highlight of the trip - watching the world pass you by as you sail along the Nile to Luxor. Discover the mighty Karnak Temple and the fascinating Valley of the Kings before journeying to the Red Sea for some well earned relaxation and the children will love snorkelling with all the colourful marine life. Finally, back to Cairo for some last minute shopping in the bazaars before saying a sad farewell to Egypt.

We include your flight back from Hurghada to Cairo for your comfort, to save time on the journey (569km or approx. 7hrs drive). The hotels you will be staying in are family friendly and of a good range with all amenities needed such as restaurant and swimming pool. You will also have the unique experience of spending overnight on a traditional felucca sailing boat

Cairo & Luxor

Your trip starts in Cairo, where kids and adults alike will be amazed by the imposing Pyramids at Giza. In the Egyptian Museum, discover Tutankhamun's gold mask and other relics that avoided the clutches of grave robbers. On our tours to Egypt, marvel at the famous Valley of the Kings and travel by horse-drawn carriage to the mammoth temples of Karnak where you can learn to read hieroglyphs. Whilst in Luxor, why not enjoy an optional hot air balloon ride? (Additional charge).

Nile Felucca

Your Egypt tour continues through to the Nile where you'll travel by age-old felucca sailboat, used by the Egyptians for centuries. Along the way you'll meet locals and enjoy the passing scenery. At night, you'll tie-up at the riverbank and listen to Nubian songs and drums around a campfire before to fall asleep under the stars through the breathing of the Nile lapping against the side of the boat, and rocking you gently. An authentic fun adventure!

Red Sea

Heading across the desert to Hurghada, spend a day snorkelling over colourful coral reefs from your boat. The Red Sea has many different colourful fish to spot so spend time relaxing on our Egypt tours! Finally, back to Cairo for your last night in the Land of the Pharaohs!
