Everything about the trip was fabulous. to get to everest base camp and the whole experience was just magnificant. Iam so pleased to have had the wonderful journey to a unique place on earth
This whole trip was so fantastic, it exceeded all of my expecations. The itinary was well planned and the trek was organised very well to balance making progress with adequate time to acclimatise to the altitude. Getting to EBC was a very special moment and a great sense of acheivement - would recommend this trip to anybody - just make sure your fitness is pretty good :) Due to bad weather some of the group ended up getting a helicopter from Lukla back to Kathmandu which was also a very memorable experience!
This was my third trip with The Aventure Company and as usual our leader, Lalit, was superb. He was a friendly, experienced and fun guy whos knowledge of the area was second to non. His attentiveness to the whole group was really great and he made the trip for us all. The rest of the team consisted of 2 x assistant guides and 5 x porters, all of the guys were fantastic and very friendly - our first assitant (Chhe Wang Lama) deserves a special mention as he was really good and a very promising group leader of the future!
For me, there were two: The first was seeing Everest for the first time after climbing out of Namche.Still 30k away but dominating the skyline in every sense. I will never forget that sight as long as I live!
The second was climbing up to kalar pattar and watching the sun rise over Everest and the high Himalaya. I will treasure that memory for ever. Climbing to the top of Kalar Pattar was VERY hard. Two hours of your body & heart going at maximum. Once at the top however, you stop, get your breath back and then slowly turn around. I can 100% guarantee that what you see at the moment will stay in your heart and mind for ever!!
Surya Jimee is THE MAN! I cannot think of enough superlatives to describe this incredible man. His knowledge, kindness, humour, and understanding were all expressed perfectly on this tour. The man's a legend!
Reaching base camp
Surya Jimee our group leader, absolutely excellent, an actual life saver, far better than any group leader i have had before.
Arriving at Everest Base Camp, being in such a diverse and friendly group and seeing so much of the Nepalese culture
The scenery! Cried when we first set eyes on Ama Dablam, Everest and Nuptse from Namche. Got tears in my eyes even remembering it now! Was so totally amazingly awesome to see them for real after having read about them in various books and seen photos. (In particular Jo Gambi's 'Holding On'.)
[Least enjoyed] The toilets! However this is far from a complaint! If you go on a trip like that you have to go being prepared to rough it! But since you are asking that would be my answer! One was extra unpleasant and I decided that I'd try to use it on ly once. Alas that was the night altitude hit my bladder big time - 8 times I had to go! 8 times!!! So we were kind of friends by the end of th enight after all!!!
Fantastic itinerary. Personally I could have done with extra time to fit in Kalar Patar as I was a bit too beat after EBC day but hey ho, That is ok.
[Accommodation] I think they all did a great job with what they had. It would be wrong to complain. We were happy.
Lalit is a small, very strong man, with a big heart and cares a lot, a true mountain guide. We felt very safe in his care as soon as we met him. We knew he knew his stuff. And Milan and Nara were fantastic, too.

Our trek leader for Everest Base Camp - Lalek - was excellent. His attention to safety and care for the group was first rate. His understanding of the physical and mental demands of this arduous trek meant everyone succeeded in completing the trek goal, whilst his humour and desire for everyone to achieve their personal aims of reaching the trek objective meant morale remained high and confidence in achieving the goal remained ever high.
I have been on numerous organised treks with other companies and our guide for this trek (Lalek) is without doubt the most competent and capable I have encountered.
The physical challenge and the incredible scenery coupled with the personal goal of reaching Everest Base Camp.
[Accommodation] It was mostly very basic and unbelievably cold....but then they are all half way up the tallest mountain in the world in a developing country.

The whole trip was an amazing experience.
I suffered slightly from altitude sickness and the group leader was excellent he made it possible for me to continue and to complete the trip safely.

The guides and assistant guides most certainly made the trip. Kushahari Phuyal who was our trip guide is an excellent ambassador for your company. We felt confident in his knowledge and ability, being slightly nervous of the unknown he reassured us and instilled confidence in our ability. He had a great sense of fun and his riddles were hillarious. He also fostered relationships amongst fellow travellers and gave opportunities for his fellow team to interact with us which made you feel that you were among family. I would highly recommend the trip as an adventure of a lifetime which was made even more special due to the care and compassion from the trip guide and his team.
There were no negitive aspects to the trip.
Kushahari Phuyal and his team most definately made the trip. Every member of the group achieved Everest base camp and this can be attributed to the care, support, enthusiasm and fun from the leader and his team. Again an excellent ambassador for the Adventure Company.

Flight in to Lukla Airport, The whole trek to Base Camp.
Hari was fantaastic made the adventure even better.

The guides and porters were fantastic and really helped make the trip. Excellent knowledge, couldn't have been more friendly and were always helpful.
[Least enjoyed] Delays with flight, though obviously no fault of The Adventure Company. 3rd party staff at the airport were not very helpful, but again The Adventure Company were not at fault.
[Accommodation] Judging it by local standards in Kathmandu, it was ok and from as far as I can tell from other accommodation I have stayed at in Kathmandu it was on the 'average' side. However for the requirements of this particular trip they were fine.
[Hari] Excelled in every requirement. When any member of the group felt ill (mainly from altitude) in anyway, including myself, you had 100% confidence in his judgement. He also showed genuine compassion and was very sociable and a very likable character. He was also very helpful in arranging collection of some equipment that was left at one of the higher tea houses - above and beyond the call of duty. Couldn't have asked for anymore.

Being delayed in Kathmandu for five days due to bad weather in Lukla was a nightmare, but our group chose to force march in our bid to reach Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar (and beyond), rather than go on the alternative Annapurna trek.
We reached Base Camp in five days, back down in three days and had 100% group success rate! Being able to immortalise our achievement back at Rum Doodle's bar in Kathmandu was an amazing feeling.
Our guide for the trip - Hari Gurung (of Intrepid) was absolutely outstanding. Immensely friendly, knowledgeable and absolutely as accommodating as we could hope a guide to be.

Assistance from our guide Gayleu
Our guide [Gele] was excellent. I would reccomend commendation for his professionalism and how he took care of us all

The whole experience of the Everest Base Camp Trek was fantastic. Walking onto the base camp itself was obviously the high light of the trip but for me from start to finish I couldnt fault the trip or the professionalism of our guides. From the excitement of the flight to Lukla, the magnificent scenery of the trek, to the madness of Kathmandu it was all great.
Nepal is a magical place and every where you look is breath taking.
Thank you to The Adventure Company for a great trip, one that I would love to make again and for having such good staff in places like Kathmandu. Our head guide Kush was great and I would like to stress how good he was and the fact that every place we were he made him self available to us. He made sure we knew where to find him day or night if we had any problems at all. A great asset to your company. The itinerary was perfect.
Our group leader (Kushahari Phuyal) or Kush to us, gave us all advice from start to finish not only on how best to make it to Base Camp and minimize the altitude sickness risks (i.e. diet on the trek and sleeping habits) but also kept us entertained in the evening and informed on the areas we were passing through. A great guide and a great guy who should be recognized as such by The Adventure Company. In a few of the Tea Houses we were in and in the Rum Doodle restaurant there were flags and T-Shirts hanging up that were signed by previous groups and time and again Kush was mentioned. Our group had a variety of fitness levels to it but Kush made sure we all got to base camp and back safe and sound.

I found the guides to be very informative, helpful and knowledgable in their chosen fields which added to my overall experience of this packaged tour.
Our group leader was Kush and I found him to very knowledgeable and experienced. I felt safe and comfortable at all times. Kush made my trip that more enjoyable with his humour and excellant organisation skills.
Highlights for me were the first view of Everest the local culture seen on trek and in Kathmandu.

The race to return to Kathmandu towards the end of the Langtang trip to make the flight for the Gokyo trip. The last three days in a day and a half.....
All three tour leaders were excellent, knowledgable, patient, friendly and all with a great sense of humour.
climbing Kala Patar and viewing Everest just as the sun came up...worth the extra effort to get up early and climb..if you have the energy left from the day before base camp walk!!
The nepalese culture. Kathmandu was a real eye opener into how others live their lives. The people/porters/guides were incredible
Fantastic. Very considerate and helpful in every way. A very good person and now a friend
