Sigiriya
Elephant photography extravaganza!
Are you ready for your close up?! Join photographer Sam Oakes and learn how you can take a fantastic pictures of elephants. You'll also be able to ride on a jumbo’s back through tropical woodland near Habarana, take an exhilarating jeep safari into Uda Walawe National Park to spot them in the wild and see orphaned baby elephants at feeding time at the Transit Home.
Sigiriya Rock Fortress
Zig-zag your way to the summit of Sigiriya’s famous Lion Rock. Pass ancient paintings which still adorn the rock wall. Crowning the flat-topped summit are the extensive remains of King Kasyapa’s summer palace
Camp amidst a tea plantation
Turn the corner of a hillside path to unveil a clearing cut into the side of a tea mountain, overlooking a beautiful valley – an idyllic spot to spend the night camping under the stars.
Village life
You’ll have the unique opportunity to watch (or help!) villagers with their early morning fish haul. Wait with bated breath for the arrival of the catch alongside fishermens' families - a great way to get to know the locals!
Photography Equipment
We do ask that you bring your own camera along with you. Your photography expert will be on hand to show you how to make the most out of your own equipment. So you can continue to take fantastic shots once you return home!
