This is an active family camping adventure in France's wonderful Dordogne region - great for those who love the outdoors. You will explore the region on foot, by bike and in a canoe. Visit beautiful medieval towns with windy cobbled lanes and well preserved city walls, explore an ancient castle and enjoy the peaceful countryside of one of France's most beautiful regions. Your French campsites are well equipped, including outdoor swimming pools, and give kids plenty of open space to be kids!

The wonderful region of Dordogne with it's castles, caves, fortified towns and clifftop villages has long been a strong magnet for visitors. When you add to that the chance to go canoeing, biking and walking in the unspoilt open countryside it is undoubtedly a great place for a fun filled, family adventure holiday. Busy markets offer great food tasting opportunites for gastronomy lovers too with delicacies such as foie gras, chestnuts, walnuts, mushrooms and truffles. The evenings are free for you to discover more local dishes in the many cafes and restuarants.
Get active!
This trip is filled with outdoor fun and activity. You get going with a guided walk to a village with pre-historic finds and later return to your campsite along the river by canoe. Spending on a full day on bikes gives everyone plenty of excerise and a chance to explore the area, with a picnic by the river in an idyllic village and a visit to the historic hilltop town of Domme. Another walk, starting beside the river, then climbing uphill, takes you to explore an ancient castle with a juicy history. You round of your active adventures with a full day canoeing on the river, making stops for some rope swinging, a picnic lunch and of course an icecream!
