We did all the activities which were all brilliantly led, and we had an enthusiastic experienced guide for the week.
Fiona Parkin, Mum
The safari trip at the beginning was excellent and a great way of getting to know everybody on our trip (note the safari was meant to be later in the week)
[Least enjoyed] the hotel was a bit dated and i was concerned about security after the lady and son next to mine had their room entered but staff in the early our of the morning. The hotel did not appear to take the issue seriously which is very worrying.
this was a brilliant trip for me and my son. The trip worked really well combining the teen activities with the single parent departure. Our Tour Leader was also probably the best i have had on any tour and worked extremely hard to ensure that everything went well, and that everybody enjoyed their holiday.

2 day gulet boat trip seeing a turtle swimming next to the boat. sleeping on deck and looking for shooting stars
everything was perfect
breakfast was not as good as I had expected(coffee from a vending machine)
the guide was exceptional he was very good with the teenage children and interesting and informative for the adults. He went out of his way to accomodate everyone's particular interests. He also had a great sense of humour. The week was exceptional partly because of his input.

Gulet sailing trip
[Accommodation] Glad that I checked 'Trip Advisor'! But it was fine
with regard to food-gullet was excellent, breakfast at hotel not good, as not even water included!
Tour guide, Suleyman was absolutely brilliant!
Mrs G - Travelled in August 2012
The guide - Suleyman - was excellent. He worked above and beyond expectations and was really nice. We had a really great time on the sailing boat and it got the group together very well. We also had the best day trip out as a group - great fun. Very nice little Turkish costal village.
[Least enjoyed] We really would have preferred to fly from Manchester and not Gatwick. The hotel rooms for 3 people were quite cramped and the bathrooms could do with some new equipment. Also there was nothing but coffee and tea to drink at breakfast - no water or juice for the kids The food on the sailing trip was great and really lovely but the hotel breakfast was not that good/interesting
We loved having a bunch of teenagers about the same age - it worked very well. Once we got into the crowd everything worked really well
He was excellent - the kids thought he was great and he was so organised.

our local guide was excellent - really informative, willing to answer all our questions about his country, politics, society - what ever we threw at him His english was excellent and he was a great ambassador for the company and Turkey. his help was invaluable for the trip to the hosptital and also in finding good quality restaurants. Loved the canoeing trip to the sunken city and the travel on the gulet. The hotel was fair, clean and breakfasts good. the captain and crew were very accomodating and the food excellent
[Least enjoyed] i asked before hand if there were snorkels and flippers on the gulet and assured there were. however on the boat itself they were not enough pairs to go round - flippers either broken or in large size - none for size 5 and below and only 2 functioning snorkels. We would have brought own if we'd known.
it would have been useful to know the transfer time before the trip of some of the excursions - the jeep safari looked great but 1 1/2 hour trip was would have been too long so we did not go Would have been good to know that it was better to sleep in the open air on the gulet - we would have been better prepared for the mosiquitos at night
please let our guide know how highly we rated his help!

jeep safari was surprisingly better than advertised in brochure = it was a full and exciting day. the 2 days on the boat were excellent with fab friendly hardworking crew.
[Least enjoyed] Having to leave our rooms after one night, re packing and starting off in another room after the boat trip. This was not mentioned on the phone or on the website.
[Additional comments on itinerary] Excellent local guide, Shabi. Quite a lot of time in the various buses getting from place to place.
[Accommodation] Needed updating. Air con in rooms excellent, but the TV not necessary for this kind of holiday! Would be good to keep the same room before and after the boat trip and make sure kids next door or across the corridor. Quite difficult having the toilet in the shower cubicle - usually wet loo and floor when it needed to be used
We enjoyed eating as a group and appreciated our guide being able to book the big tables needed. We did feel though that the places were not always the most reasonable.

Jeep safari to gorge was an excellent mix of fun, adventure, beach and history. Sharing the holiday with other like minded families who had teenage children meant the whole family enjoyed the holiday.
[Least enjoyed] Uncertainty of paying for optional excursions. The adventure company had said to take sterling to pay for these trips and yet the providers seemed happier with Turkish Lira, otherwise they were having to go and make phone calls to work out what exchange rate they should be using. Our guide was very helpful and tried to smooth the process, but it would have been easier if from the beginning we had been told to pay for all additional activities in TL. We would have then been suitably prepared.
The family run boat that we used for the three days/ two nights was very well run. They produced lovely fresh meals with plenty for all. They were very helpful.
[Accommodation] Rooms were clean and house keeping good. What would have made a huge difference on first arriving would have been the air-conditioning on. Our arrival time was known as we were picked up from the airport and it would not have taken much to put the air con on and then shown us to our rooms with a master key so we could access the key which also ran the air con.The rooms had not been used for some time and on our 1am arrival were stifling. At breakfast there was no cold drink of any sort available unless you paid 4TL for a bottle of water.
Suleyman was very attentive and an excellent host. He always had our comfort and safety as his concern, for example watching out for speed boats that might come too close when we were swimming off the boat. He organised well everything that we asked for and could not apologise enough when the mini bus was late to pick us up to get back to the airport.Something that we know was beyond his control due to a late landing of a different flight. He went above and beyond the call of duty to make our holiday enjoyable for all the members of the group.

The trip was one of the best holidays I have ever taken as the group all got on well together, the activities were great fun and each day had it's own highlight. Kas is a great base for the land element as it is not too far from any of the activities, and it felt a very safe town. So letting the teenagers get themselves back to the hotel was not an issue, leaving the adults to relax. I think a tour of the Kas amphitheatre and other sights of the town by the group leader would have been interesting rather than leaving us to our own devices. The best land based activity was the gorge trip. Wearing trainers for this was important as the gorge was running fast and it was easy to lose a footing, but the scenery and fun to be had - standing under a waterfall and swimming down river, bathing in mud and floating downstream in tyres- was great, not to mention the water fights between the vehicles and the delicious river side meal. However, the gulet trip was also fantastic. How relaxing to be wined and dined, to pop overboard for a swim at leisure, to snorkel, sleep on deck and just enjoy the scenery... amazing. No one wanted to disembark.
It would have been helpful to have a daily printed itinery board to review so one could see what the program was and how much it cost, rather than everyone asking continuously how much and what and when. Also, the Group Leader did not interract much with either the adults or the children. It would have been nice to chivvy the kids up the hilltop or for him to take the adults off for a bit more indepth history about the ruins. That said, as the group all got on famously, it worked very well. The boat crew were fabulous and funny and attentive, and great cooks, so even the fussiest of eaters ended up full.
Time on Gulet was fantastic. Relaxing in a beautiful environment with good company and excellent traditional food.
Cheedam was excellent. She always did her very best to help us to have a great holiday. Her determination to please, on a couple of occassions, rather ironically put her in conflict with other quests. Her intentions were always for the best.
She could have explained a little more about the activities and information about prices of activities was a little vague. That may have avoided the ocassional problem.

Every day had highlights and surprises. like the most perfect lunch table at the most beautiful waterside cafe after the most amazing morning's kayaking. Or the moment when a large turtle was spotted by one of the teenagers as they swam by the gulet and all of us delighted in following its movements. And the jeep safari day when the laughter and excitement of an epic water fight with another jeep was followed by a visit to a stunning 600 meter deep gorge. And it was all rounded off by the excellent guide's choice for the last night's dinner where we watched the sun set over the sea.
[Least enjoyed] Uncertainty about how much money to tip and how much the guide would ask us to contribute at the end for all the tips he made on our behalf
The activities were all at the right level of challenge for myself and my teenager and we always felt safe
Apart from having to pay for orange juice and water at breakfast, everything about the hotel met or exceeded my expectations.
Evran was very attentive when we needed it and worked hard to ensure the group got on and looked after adults and teenagers alike. The only thing he could have done in addition could have been to suggest local places to visit for when we have free time.
Ms W - Travelled in July 2011
The holiday provided a great mixture of activites to keep my 14 year old son happy and enough chill-out time for me to take some rest time!
[Least enjoyed] Out local rep was somewhat brusque in her manner and not very approachable.
It would have been useful on arrival to have been provided with a list of the trips/ the costs of each / whether lunch was included and the dates they were running. We were given this information verbally.
