The highlight was sleeping in the mountains watching the meteorite showers and we even had a special night trip to see the shooting stars in a fragrant pine forest the following night (thanks to our cool bus driver!).

Having tea with the shepherds in the mountains

Having tea with the shepherds in the mountains, the optional Hot air balloon trip which was fabulous

[Least enjoyed] The facilities at the camp grounds, which were, as expected ,very very basic ,but nevertheless not pleasant

thought the horse riding was too long. For those without much riding experience 4 hours was a long time in the saddle And for those who could ride the constant slow pace became monotonous. There needed to be a couple more stops perhaps along by the river.

Hotel was fine .Staff were friendly. Food was good and plentiful . Room was fine. Swimming pool nice bonus after hot days

Tuna was brilliant especially with the boys on our trip , explaining things, teaching them Turkish always good humoured

Active Cappodocia

The scenery was spectacular and hotair ballooning over the Fairy Chimneys was fabulous , seeing so many balloons in the air was a sight to see. Having tea with the shepherds as they tended their flocks  at 2500 metres was wonderful.   The teenagers on the trip enjoyed the late night stargazing around the fire and sleeping out under the stars.

Our group leader Tuna was excellent. Brilliant with the boys, trying to teach them Turkish and laughing when they gave him by a different 'fish' name every day. His knowledge of the area, its history and culture was great and he made the whole trip interesting and great fun.

The food was very good and plentiful . If you can do the Hot-air ballooning not cheap but well worth it

On the way home, the kids unanimously said that trip was far better than they could have imagined.

We were with a fantastic group of families, that really bonded after our Turkish Bath experience to sooth the aching muscles after biking and horse-riding for two days. The highlight was sleeping in the mountains watching the meteorite showers and we even had a special night trip to see the shooting stars in a fragrant pine forest the following night (thanks to our cool bus driver!). Turan, our guide, was fantastic - with both the young people and us oldies - and we really got a flavour of Turkey. We would definitely recommend this trip to anyone thinking of going.
