Why book with us?
We look after you
We offer a personal service from start to finish. Our group travel gurus Antony, Jennifer and Angela have over 20 years’ experience and will be on hand to help with everything from initial presentations, to booking and planning every element of the itinerary to your return home. One of the great things about our adventures is that you're free to enjoy them! We plan and research each itinerary, and test them out ourselves, so you can make the most of your school adventure – without the hassle of organising the trip.
First Class Local Leaders
We only use local Group Leaders, who have experience of working with families and children. Their enthusiasm and knowledge means they can show you the best things to see and do and they are endlessly popular with the kids! On all our trips you’ll be led by an experienced Group Leader, who is from the region you are visiting and can offer an authentic taste of local life. Your Group Leader is on hand to ensure your trip runs smoothly, so you are free to enjoy the new experiences.
Well paced itineraries – perfectly designed for pupils
Our trips are designed to keep time spent on the road to a minimum. But we also believe the journey there can be part of the experience. On our trips, you’ll experience a variety of local transport, including some more unusual options, from elephants and camels to canoes and trains, dependent on your destination.
We believe in rich travel and learning experiences at an affordable price. That’s why our school adventures include all flights, entrance fees, transport, accommodation, some meals and the services of a Group Leader in the price. We believe our tours should be open to all and our prices are very competitive.
Peace of Mind
Don’t let the word ‘adventure’ put you off. We are serious about safety and were recently awarded the British Standard BS 8848 for our work in ensuring the safety and security of all our accommodation, transport and activities across our destinations.
As The Adventure Company is a subsidiary of TUI Travel Plc we have all the expertise and support of a 24 hour Duty Office which is constantly manned by highly trained staff.
Risk Assessments – Zoe Rebbeck, our Health & Safety Manager is on hand to help put together all the supporting paperwork for each trip. We understand that assessing the risks for a school can be a daunting process, we can help you through the process by undertaking full safety audits of all of the components within your chosen tour assessing all the "risks" This covers such essential areas as accommodation, transport, emergency procedures, plus risk assessments for activities and key excursions.
BS 8848 accredited - In 2011 we were awarded the British Standard 8848 by the Young Explorers Trust in recognition of the policies and procedures we have in place when planning and operating trips, to ensure they are as safe as possible for all participants.
BS 8848 sets out the actions and responsibilities essential for the provision of a risk-based safety management system for overseas visits. It enables us to objectively verify that our activities have been organised in accordance with the currently accepted best practice.
Compliance with BS 8848 demonstrates a safe approach to the planning and management of activities for all involved.
