Busy families spend so little quality time together that for three-quarters of parents, family holidays are now seen as an ‘essential’ or so important that they will cut back on other things to ensure they get away, according to new research by The Adventure Company.
According to a new survey carried out by The Adventure Company, taking your child on holiday can help them with their school work. We polled more than 4,000 parents and almost nine in ten said that going on holiday had helped their child with one or more school subjects, most notably geography (69%), history (59%) and languages (49%).
This week’s Budget contained welcome news for some families, but many of the changes that were announced won’t come into force until 2014 or even 2015, so The Adventure Company has rounded up its best value trips for families who want to get away on a summer holiday this year without breaking the bank.
