South Africa 2010 World Cup

South Africa will be well and truly under the spotlight next summer as Fabio Capello’s England squad touch down to do battle against the world's top footballing nations.

For football fans the race is on to snap up the best flight deals to watch the battle in action. The 2010 World Cup runs from June 11 – July 11 and matches will be played at top venues around the country.

Five of South Africa's football stadiums, including Soccer City and Ellis Park in Johannesburg, Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria, the Royal Bafokeng stadium and the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein are getting a slick makeover for the beautiful game's biggest event.

A brand new stadium is underway at Nelson Mandela Bay in Port Elizabeth, and Green Point stadium in Cape Town will feature a state-of-the-art retractable dome.

100,000 England fans are expected to travel to South Africa and World Cup packages are fast selling out. It’s going to be the destination of 2010, but you can still get flights if you book early.
