Dubrovnik/Slano

Dubrovnik/Slano

Take a flight to the "Pearl of the Adriatic" Dubrovnik today and on arrival you will be transferred the short distance along the coast to Slano. Located 27 km northwest of Dubrovnik. There is a welcome meeting at 3 pm and then you board the yacht which will be your floating home for the next 7 nights. There will be an all important safety briefing and then a chance to get familiar with your new surroundings. For those who haven't sailed before things may feel a little strange at first, but your friendly skipper will help you settle in.

Mljet/Saplunara

This morning we sail across to Saplunara on the eastern tip of the island of Mljet. Saplunara is derived from the latin word meaning sabulum sand. Saplunara  is completely covered with sand and the most beautiful beaches of the island are found here. We will spend the day relaxing and playing games on the beach as well as indulging in swimming and snorkelling in the clear blue water.

Polace

Polace is a village on the northwest coast of the island of Mljet. It is home to the largest  and safest bay on the island, it is secluded and sheltered by 4 small neighbouring islands so makes a great ancorage point for the boat.  Polace has a number of ancient ruins dating from the 1st to the 6th centuries and you will have the opoprtunity to explore these, including the imposing Roman palace whose walls dominate the village. There are of course many options for beach games and swimming/snorkelling.  The village has a couple of restaurants and cafes and is a lovely place to walk around and enjoy the evening.

Lastovo

Lastovo

This morning we leave the island of Mljet behind us and sail the short distance across to Lastovo. Lastovo island has been inhabited for several thousand years and like many in the region were first inhabited by the Illyrians, and then the Romans. Why not take the oportunity this morning to try out your sailing skills with the skipper enroute. Lastovo is about 10 km long and 6 km wide and is the most wooded of the Croatian islands with over 70% of the island covered in forest. You will venture inland to enjoy the forest trails before heading back to the boat. Around the island of Lastovo is 46 islets and reefs, perfect for spotting some more marine life whilst snorkelling.

Peljesac Peninsula

Peljesac Peninsula

The peninsula is the second largest in Croatia at 65 km long. Its highest summit is at 961 metres and this makes for stuning scenery and the locals say that this is where the "nature is still the nature". You will spend today sailing along the peninsula stoping at secluded spots and enjoying the natural environment.
