Arrive Krakow/Hrebienok
Arrive in Krakow and transfer to the town of Stary Smokovec at the foot of the High Tatra mountain range. The oldest settlement in the High Tatras, Stary Smokovec was founded in 1793 on the foothills of Salvkovsky Peak. Now the administrative centre of the Tatras, the town grew from a hunters cottage to the settlement that stands there today. Today the town is a popular base for both winter and summer mountain activities and has developed to offer a range of facilities for tourists.
In the hills above this town is our base for the next 6 nights, picturesque Hrebienok which sits at 1285m and is connected to the town below by a funicular. Mountain Pension 6 nights (D)

Hrebienok
Begin the first of your walks today which explores the hills surrounding the pension. Reinerova Chata is the olderst high mountain tourist hut in the region, it was recently saved and reconstructed in 1983. Onwards to discover waterfalls at Studeny Potok a 20m cascade squeezed between two large rocks which is part of a system of multi terraced falls. Passing Zamkovskeho Chata you will reach Teryho Chat (2015m), with the appearance of a stone castle, this is the highest occupied mountain hut in the Tatras. You then return to your base. (BLD)

Hrebienok
After a short transfer you begin walking from Tatranska Kotlina. Your goal today is to reach Chata pri Selenom (1551m), it is one of the most beautiful mountain chalets in the region. You will approach throught the forested valley of Seven Springs, Dolina Siedmich. The area is very beautiful, decorated with mountain pines and small lakes. After reaching your destination you return descending through Zelene Pelse Valley to Kezmarskej Bielej vody. (BL)
Hrebienok
Today your walk takes you on the Tantranska Magistrala route north to Skalnate Pleso Lake. This area is known for its mountain porters who still carry supplies to the mountain huts here. The Skalnata Dolina Valley is very beautiful and includes the impressive peaks of Lomnicky Stilt and Kezmarksy which you can see towering over you on reaching the Lake. You have a chance to visit the interesting obervatory near to the lake. If you wish to continue you can take a rocky path to Velka Svistovka peak 2037m the views from here are a great reward for your efforts. Return to the pension. (BLD)
Hrebienok
Your destination for today's walk is Zbojnicka Chata a cottage which was built for game keepers in 1907, it's name means "forest robbers" which comes from a time when the owners illegally hunted animals. It is reached by walking through the Velka Studena Dolina valley. Often following or crossing the Studeny Potok Stream, you also pass through pine forests and some areas are rocky underfoot. Three more mountain lakes highlight the route. Return to the pension. (B)

Hrebienok
Today you have a challenging goal to summit Slavkovsky Stit (2552m). Climbing 1200m this is a walk of 7-8 hours and a fitting end to your week of walking adventures. Absorb the stunning views from here before returning to your pension by the same trail. (BLD)
Krakow
This morning you transfer into Poland and the city of Krakow, a treasure trove of Gothic and Renaissance archietecture. The city is one of Poland's oldest and has a medieval centre with the largest market square in Eastern Europe. You take a guided tour of the highlights which include the Royal Castle of Wawe the centre peice of the city; the Old Market, Mariacki church and the former Jewish quarter which reflects a tragic past. The afternoon is free to explore further as you wish, you will discover something interesting or historic around every corner. There are many restaurants and bars tucked away in cellars, down narrow alleyways to keep you refreshed as you explore. (B)
