Today you leave London Heathrow Airport and travel overnight to Cape Town, South Africa.

Cape Town Airport - Stellenbosch
Upon arrival in the morning at Cape Town International Airport, you'll be met by your local English speaking guide and transferred to Stellenbosch in the wine estate. Stellenbosch is the second oldest town in South Africa, famous for its wines, historical buildings, oak-lined streets. The settlement was established in 1679 and you can see some fine examples of historic Cape Dutch architecture, carefully restored. One such example is the church or ‘Moederkerk’ at the edge of town.
We check in a beautiful vineyard resort and visit its Cheetah Outreach Project which care for theses endangered wildcats by introducing captive-born, hand raised cheetahs not suitable for re-release as ambassadors to increase awareness and educate people in South Africa. There you will also meet some brave Turkish Anatolian Shepherd dogs, some meerkats, lack-back jackals, caracals and others small predators.
Thoses interesting in wine will have the opportunity to enjoy fine award-winning wines at the wine tasting courtyard (additional charge).

Oudtshoorn
Today we drive inland through the Klein Karoo valley, between Outenique and Swartberg mountains, to Oudtshoorn, well-known as the ostrich capital of the world, a great opportunity for you to experience ostrich eggs, meat, or purchase beautiful items made of delicate ostrich leather and feather. In the evening you'll enjoy a lecture and dvd on meerkats to prepare for tomorrow’s tour. Here we will stay in a gorgeous guest farm and reserve on 2000 hectare private land. In the surrounding area you will meet cattle, sheep among the alfalfa and stay in cosy chalets on the riverside.

Our next stop is the Elephant Sanctuary in Plettenberg Bay. Enjoy another educational and fun programme as an experienced guide will introduce you to theses gentle giants. The main highlight is the opportunity to your family to have their face painted in traditional Xhosa style and then to try your own hand at it!
