The trip brought us up close to the people of Africa and its varied wildlife and we were in good company with three other families. Every day felt like a new adventure. We met so many generous hearted people and had loads of great fun.

This was an experience of a lifetime for our family.

We won this holiday but I will try to return to Sadaani one day if I get the chance as it was the most amazing place.  The animals, the guide and the people were wonderful.  This was an experience of a lifetime for our family.  Throughout our time in Tanzania we were looked after with care and consideration, our guide was both knowledgable and fun to be around, we learnt so much about the animals and had a laugh. I have already recommended this trip to everyone I know.

[Least enjoyed] The accommodation in Milumi was a bit rough and unclean, we did spend the nights with mice visiting, I love animals but do have my limits.  Also I felt that the guide in Zanzibar tried to force us to do very expensive excursions and was obviously not pleased when we refused.  It would have been better if the guide (Hassan) who had been with us in Tanzania could have continued to guide us in Zanzibar.

[Accommodation] The accommodation in Sadaani and Zanzibar was perfect, Mikumi could do with a spring clean.

Our guide was amazing, he had so much knowledge and made us feel so safe and secure at all times, nothing was ever too much trouble and by the end we had all become great friends, if we are ever lucky enough to return we would request the same guide.

Our Guide Kita was absolutely fabulous

Our Guide Kita was absolutely fabulous. At first we were concerned that being the only family on the trip would detract from the experience & yet it was great, we could do what we want when we wanted (within reason) It meant that we could stay out on the Game Drives a little longer & Kita was excellent & great with the children ! We saw turtles hatching and going off to the sea. The people of Tanzania were friendly & to go to the Orphanage was eye opening and made us realise what a good job some people choose to do for those that need it !

[Least enjoyed] Zanzibar - the hotel was great & the location in Stone Town good, with a decent beach nearby. We just wouldn't return there, it felt like there was an undercurrent & it was a bit too touristy !

It would have been even better if we had had an obligatory walking tour around Zanzibar as opposed to it being optional - that may have made a difference.

The tented accommodation on stilts at Sadaani was absolutley fabulous. It was in a wonderful location, clean & a real experience for all the family - this would be a great holiday in itself. The food was brilliant & to be offered 5 courses exceeded our expectations !

Loved the trip to the Orphanage and the school - it opened our eyes as well as those of our children.

He was brilliant !
