Reykjavik

Hallo! Welcome to Iceland.

You are met on arrival at Keflavík International airport airport and transferred to your hotel (please advise flight arrival details at least 15 days prior to departure if you wish to have this transfer provided). Transfer: approximately 55 km.

You can arrive at any time on day 1 as there are no activities planned until the important welcome meeting at 6:00pm. If your flight arrives after this time we recommend that you consider booking a night's accommodation prior to the trip so you can ensure you are able to attend this meeting. We will be collecting your insurance details and next of kin information at this meeting so please ensure you have all details on hand to provide to your leader. Your group leader will leave a note at reception telling you where this important meeting will take place. Please ask a member of reception for this information. If you are going to be late please inform the hotel reception.

Please note arrival time at all the joining point hotels is after 2:00pm. Early check-in is not guaranteed, however if you arrive early luggage storage is possible so you can explore until check-in time.

The world's northernmost capital lies just a whisker below the Arctic circle, sees around four hours' sunlight in the depths of winter, but bathes in 22 or more hours of it in summer. Surrounded by gleaming volcanic peaks and crystalline ocean with a vibrant heart that beats with a wild nightlife, Reykjavik's contrasts are utterly beguiling, beautiful and must be touched, tasted and seen to be believed.

Why not arrive early and head to the National Museum. Boasting a permanent exhibition depicting the history of Iceland from the 9th century to present day, it's sure to be a highlight of any trip to the city.
