Holiday to Egypt 'could include Safar Khan Gallery visit'

The Safar Khan Gallery (SKG) could be a fun activity for tourists with a free day to spend on a holiday to Egypt, if one commentator's words are anything to go by.

Writing for the Daily News Egypt, Heba Elkayal discussed the latest works on display at the attraction with artist Katherine Bakhoum.

Her paintings feature expansive skies, sailing boats and "poetic" sea scenes.

"Sometimes it's a surprise what is coming out on the canvas," she told the news source. "I think it's [a] good painting when you can imagine something afterwards."

Found in the Zamalek region, SKG was founded in 1966 and particularly focuses on modern Egyptian pieces.

Gamal El-Segini, AH El-Gazzar, Youssef Sida, H.Nada and Hamed Abdallah are among the artists whose labours have been hung from its walls.

Although a number of Adventure Company's holidays include trips to Cairo, the Felucca Adventure could be a particularly good option as it offers a free day in the city, allowing travellers to shape their own experiences.
