Holiday to Tanzania 'inspired by Comic Relief Kilimanjaro climb'

Gary Barlow, Cheryl Cole and Chris Moyles have inspired a walker to book a holiday to Tanzania, it has been reported.

Sam Young told the Bromsgrove Advertiser he got the idea for his jaunt up Mount Kilimanjaro after watching a team of celebrities tackle the peak for Comic Relief earlier this year.

He will set off on Saturday (December 5th 2009), with the coffers of the Coventry Society for the Blind set to benefit from sponsorship money.

According to the news provider, Mr Young has undergone a period of intense training, including a practice run up Mount Snowdon.

"I have been humbled by the generosity of many people who have pledged sponsorship, and I have so far raised just over £2,000," he said.

Those inspired to take on their own challenge could book onto one of Adventure Company's holidays to Tanzania.

The Rongai Route is a trail aimed at those looking for a more demanding trip, while
the Machame Route is less gruelling and offers stunning scenery.

Other options include the Peaks of Tanzania or Marangu Route.
