'Cusco conservation' may interest those heading on holiday to Peru

Choquequirao in Cusco will be one of the regions which will gain the new status, along with Huarmaca in Piura, Angostura-Faical forest in Tumbes, the Virrila wetlands and the dry forests of Salitral, according to LivinginPeru.com.

Head of the national service of protected natural areas Luis Alfaro told the news provider: "This means that we are building a society that is aware of the many benefits which will be obtained if they take care of the resources they possess."
