Egypt holidays will increase in popularity, says tourism minister

a href="http://www.adventurecompany.co.uk/country-overview.aspx?productid=34526" target="_self">Egypt holidays are set to see a significant increase in popularity in the near future as the world emerges from the grips of recession, it has been claimed.

Zoheir Garranah, the north African nation's tourism minister, said that the last 12 months had not hit the number of travellers visiting Egypt as hard as many had feared.

Furthermore, he remarked that the next year will be promising for Egyptian tourism and that 2011 will see a sharp rise in the number of arrivals, the Middle East North Africa Financial Network reported.

Mr Garranah claimed this confident outlook could be attributed to measures put in place by the country to cope with the effects of the recession.

"We took a positive approach to combating the downturn," he said. "As a result of precautions taken, we have begun to witness positive signs that reinforce these decisions."

The Adventure Company offers a number of options for travellers wishing to experience Egypt holidays, including the Nile River Adventure Family Holiday, which takes in Cairo, the Pyramids, Luxor and the Valley of the Kings.
