Matthew Williamson: Get adventurous during Morocco holidays

Matthew Williamson has urged travellers to be adventurous during their Morocco holidays, rather than relying on the advice of others.

The fashion designer said there is much more fun to be had by ignoring guidebooks and travel experts and urged people to trust their own instincts.

"Discover a city or a place off your own bat by just wandering around," Williamson wrote in a piece for The Telegraph.

Furthermore, the columnist said that the locals can often give travellers a valuable insight on all the best little-known attractions to visit during their Morocco holidays.

He explained: "You can cut out all the usual tourist traps that way."

Williamson added that people planning to bring a memento of their Morocco holidays home with them should look beyond the obvious and buy something other than a traditional rug.
