Combine active holidays in Slovakia with a cultural trip to Prague

Travellers looking to combine their family activity holidays in Slovakia with a spot of culture should consider popping across the border with the Czech Republic and heading to Prague.

Trish Wilson, a student from the University of Michigan, visited the city herself as part of a three-week trip across Europe, during which time she enjoyed a number of its famous historic attractions.

Despite the fact that it was bustling with tourists, Ms Wilson said she was still able to appreciate the Czech capital, describing it as "absolutely beautiful".

As well as taking in the attractiveness of her surroundings, she wrote on the university's official athletics site she also saw the John Lennon wall, the Jewish quarters, the Museum of Medieval Torture and the Central Square.

"Prague and Vienna were my favourite places on the trip because of the beautiful scenery and buildings," she added.
