Dubrovnik 'worth visiting on Europe holidays this autumn'

According to the Guardian's Nicola Iseard, the autumn months are a great time for a getaway as visitor numbers are down and travellers have more space to explore their destination.

She stated that one of the best places to visit in the season is Dubrovnik, with its streets, beaches and port considerably less crowded than during the summer.

"Autumn brings out the best of Dubrovnik; it takes on a tranquil, laidback atmosphere, the weather is less humid, the sea is still warm enough for swimming and … ferry prices drop considerably," Ms Iseard explained.

For people thinking of visiting Dubrovnik as part of a family activity holiday in the next month, The Adventure Company's Adriatic Adventure Family Holiday may be perfect.

As well as offering a chance to explore the city, travellers can take part in cycling in the Konalve Valley and sea kayaking.
