Egypt holiday to Giza and the pyramids impresses youngsters

Mummies and daddies who go on a holiday to Egypt's Giza and the pyramids will seriously impress their little ones.

Scotsman columnist Kate Wickers took her nine-year-old Josh, Ben, seven, and Freddie, four, on a jaunt to the ancient tombs recently - and she reported that the youngsters thought it was "really cool".

Little Ben enjoyed touring the Valley of the Kings and checking out Cairo during the trip, while Freddie was interested in looking at King Tutankhamen's tomb.

Ms Wickham's eldest Josh spent much of their trip learning more about the pharaohs.

"Egypt caught and fuelled all of our imaginations, particularly my three boys - who all fancy themselves as the next Indiana Jones," Ms Wickers remarked.

Those keen to educate their own children on an Egyptian holiday should check out the range of family activity breaks offered by The Adventure Company.

For example, the Feluccas & Pharaohs Family Holiday includes tours of Cairo and pyramids, along with visits to Aswan and the Red Sea coast.
