Mohamed Refaat Abbas

When I first started to work for The Adventure Company, there were lots of challenges for me! Knowing how great the leaders and the company are, made me think a lot. I needed to find a way to prove that I was good enough to join the team.
Working as a tour leader helps me a lot to have more friends. Each trip I start with new customers but end with new friends. Tour leading is like a big university! You get to learn something every day. It never stops! Moving from one place to the other, meeting new people, going through different situations and more... always helps to learn more skills every day. Every day is a great adventure and big fun.

What is your favourite activity /event on the trips you lead?

Sailing on a Felucca , camel riding and snorkelling.

What is the best thing about your job?

Knowing new people, learning about thier countries and telling them about mine.
 
In your mind, what is the most interesting custom in your country?

When men wear galabia (traditional Egyptian dress of upper Egypt).

In your mind, what is the most important phrase to know?

Laa shokran (no thank you) and law samaht (please)

In your mind, when is the best time to vist and why?

Early morning visits summer or winter to avoid the heat and the crowd.

In your mind, what are the most important items to pack for your tour?

Torch and first aid kit

Mohammed ("Nemo") was truly an excellent Group Leader in all aspects. He even took the time to organise a birthday cake for our 6 yr old son. Nothing was too much trouble and everything went as smoothly as clock work for our group, due to his expertise.  FEG 13FEB10

Mohammed for president! He was just fantastic. He could arrange taxis, doctors, recommend restaurants and shops, anything we asked of him really, at a moments notice. He played with the children and helped adults wherever we needed him to. He paid great attention to everyone's health also, reminding us to wear hats, suncream etc. I think he should get a massive pay rise.  FEG 13DEC10
