What is your travel experience/background?
I am a licenced guide who specialises in tropical ecosystems and bird watching. For the last twenty years I have been lecturing people about this subject all over the world. From the Antarctic to the Amazonian Rainforest, but especially in my home country Costa Rica.

Showing my country to people from all over the world.
What is the funniest thing that has ever happened on a tour?
One time I took a group to visit a small town with a nice little church. The locals were expecting the President of Costa Rica that day and when we got there... yes! They thought I was bringing the President!
In your mind, what is the best place to visit in your country?
The Monte Verde Cloud Forest and the rainforest and Tortuguero. Also the nearby countries of Nicaragua and Panama

In your mind, when is the best time to visit and why?
All year round! Being a tropical country, Costa Rica always has something to offer.

Binoculars!!! Camera and torch.

For such a small country, Costa Rica has an extremely rich biodiversity.

After several years of leading tours for TAC, I have to say that it has been a symbiotic relationship. This is a term we use very often when doing interpretations in a tropical ecosystem that means 'to exchange knowledge'. Definitely a must is the rainforest of Tortuguero and the Monte Verde Cloud Forest.
