Dennis Wille - Costa Rica

Dennis’ knowledge of Costa Rica’s flora and fauna is superb and our clients often comment on how much they learnt while being led by him. In addition, his clear love for all things Costa Rica really came across throughout the trip and infected everyone with an enthusiasm to really get the most out of their time in the country.

Saif led our FEG tour so well that the parents came back singing his praises. One client made special mention of how he was the best guide they have ever had. Prabin Lakhe - Tibet

Prabin scored 100% on all fronts, which is certainly no mean feat! Clients told us that he looked after them when they were ill, kept an eye on them at altitude to make sure they were coping and was very friendly, knowledgeable and informative. Damir Perkovic - Croatia

A recurring theme in the feedback we have had from Damir’s tours was that he made the trip for the people he was leading. His enthusiasm, local and historical knowledge, competency in all activities and ability and willingness to be flexible whenever necessary, have earned him the right to sit in this prestigious spot. He may not have been leading tours for as long as some of our other leaders, but he has wasted no time in making sure that he gives people the best time possible.

Our winner for October is Hassan Mwenjuma from Tanzania. We have been told how his enthusiasm is infectious, his knowledge is immense and he goes out of his way to ensure that people are having the best time possible. Her people skills are second to none, as she makes everyone in her groups feel like a family and by managing to get a cake into Machu Picchu for a surprise birthday party, she shows that she is more than willing to go the extra mile!

Originally from the UK, Ros discovered North Cyprus for herself in 2003. She fell in love with the island and having moved over there, she now shares her love of Cyprus and her enthusiasm for walking with everyone on the tours she leads. Mohammed “Mido” Salem – Egypt

Mido can usually be found leading our tours in the Sinai and it would seem that he does an excellent job of it. This month he scored 100% on all points, which is no mean feat! All our customers sent us brilliant reviews of their trips, saying not only how he had gone above and beyond the call of duty in looking after them, but also how they had come back feeling inspired by his values and morals.

Santiago leads our AR tours in Argentina and is often named one of the highlights of the trip – we are frequently told that he becomes a friend and member of the group rather than just a leader. Max Vilcas - Peru

Max wins our Leader of the Month for July for receiving outstanding feedback scores from customers. Max has received 100% top scores from ALL customers without exception, and he does so consistently! We have also received several nominations via email from customers, all of which are accompanied by lovely comments about Max. His strong points include his huge amounts of local knowledge, great organisational skills and flexibility, infectious laugh, and the way he gets to know each individual and really takes care of the whole group, while still joining in on the fun.

Dante Minyaya - Peru

Dante led our 3 week, PU - ‘Classic Peru’ trip including the Inca Trail in April/May and again in June.
Dante receives exceptional feedback from every trip he leads and in addition has had several nominees via Facebook and email. It seems he leaves quite an impression, and has been doing so for several years now, winning the hearts of all his customers and doing a great job of showing them the real Peru!

Avdhesh Avasthi - India

Avdhesh leads our cultural trips and family trips in Northern India and repeatedly shows up in our top leaders each month. In May he led our NI – Wildlife and Moghul Cities trip.
Avdhesh not only wins this award for his top scores in 2010 but also for the continual improvement we have seen since last year. Although still receiving good feedback in 2009 he is now receiving exception feedback in 2010 which just keeps getting better and better!

Mohamed Refaat - Egypt

Mohamed otherwise known as 'Nemo' led our FEG – Feluccas and Pharaohs, family trip in April and again in May. He is consistently one of our top leaders each month and he is just as popular with families as he is on our adult trips. Mohamed has received exceptional feedback from customers and also has one of the most amounts of nominations towards group leader of the year.

Mohamed Hjira & Khaled Ait Baaza - Morocco

Our group leader of the month award for March actually goes to two brilliant leaders from Morocco! Mr Mohamed Hjira & Mr Khaled Ait Baaza.
These two wonderful guides lead our Winter Toubkal Trek in the Atlas Mountains and received exceptional feedback and top ratings; in fact top points all round!!!

Surya Gurung - Nepal

Surya Gurung, who generally leads our trekking trips such as ‘Base Camp Everest’ consistently stands out in our weekly feed back comments received from customers and is always in the top five leaders each month. He is at the moment one of our top group leaders so far this year, and was one of our top leaders last year as well!

Januray 2010: 

Lucia Bistarova - Slovakia

It seems that both adults and children alike fall in love with Lucia! Lucia leads both our family and adult winter trips in Slovakia and has been winning the hearts of our customers for several years now. 
During December 2009 temperatures went from -22 to +7 in a matter of days and for the first time in over 50 years there was very little snow on Christmas day in Slovakia. Lucia did a wonderful job of re-arranging activities and still managed to win everyone over!

December 2009:

Jagan Timilsina - Nepal

Jagan wins our Group Leader of the Month for December for going way beyond the call of duty by getting chickens for a roast dinner on Christmas day. He also overheard customers talking about mulled wine and then found a recipe and ingredients and served mulled wine on New Years Eve at their celebratory end of trip meal.
But it doesn’t end there… after having had a baby on New Years Eve, he then rejoined the group on New Years Day while Nepal was having a nationwide strike, to ensure that they got back to Kathmandu safely and in time for their flights!

Ahmed Badawy - Egypt

Ahmed Badawy led our Ancient Egypt Explorer trip on the 25th October 2009 and received exceptionally good feedback and high scores for his efforts. Customers claimed that rather than the wonders of Egypt, Mr Badawy was actually the highlight of the trip!Mr Badawi went out of his way to accommodate both children and adults on this family tour and really made this trip Amazing for his customers.
