Walking in Nepal
The Himalaya are one of the most stunning trekking holiday regions in the world. We offer three walking options to the Himalaya and Annapurna Range each offering time in Kathmandu to explore the city and int he traditional village of Bandipur.
Our Adventure Nepal trip provides a mix of action and adventure in the mountains, rivers and jungles. Take a seven day trek through the Annapurna Foothills to remote villages before river rafting down the Seti River and exploring Chitwan National Park by elephant. You will walk to a maximum of 3,000m for 3-6 hours a day.
For an introductory walk in Nepal, try our short three day camping trip, the Himalayan Explorer. After a stay in the rural village of Nuwakot you travel to Bandipur to start your trek. Take in views of Langtang peak and the distant Annapurnas before returning to Pokhara for a boat trip on Lake Begnas and a safari in Chitwan NP.
If you would like a few more days walking then our Annapurna Sanctuary trip gives you the chance to reach Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130m and Machhapuchare Base Camp at 3,700m. You'll stay in teahouses enroute to the icy rocks before descending to the lakeside Pokhara.
The best time to trek Nepal is before or after the monsoon season; ideally September – November & March – April. You can trek in the winter months, December – February, but there will be a lot of snow which can make the trails more difficult. As with all our trekking adventure holidays we’ll organise everything; the teahouses, permits, flights, guides and porters, so you can just enjoy your walk.
