The Terracotta Warriors
The Terracotta Warriors are one of the highlights of many of our holidays to China. Along with the Great Wall of China they count as one of the unmissable sights of this country. The Terracotta Army were built during the time of the First Emperor of China from 210BC. The statues are of differing heights according to their role. It is estimated that there are over 8000 soldiers with many more chariots and horses. There are three main pits with each containing thousands of artefacts.
