Climb Your Mountain - feedback

My Grandfather was diagnosed with cancer and I found it very difficult to cope with, so in his final weeks I made a promise to him that I would climb to the top of Kilimanjaro. I chose to climb with Climb Your Mountain because they offered a huge amount of support. I am very overweight and exercise doesn't come naturally to me so this is where CYM were so important. They offered lots of FREE physical activities which were the main basis of all my training. CYM brought the team of climbers together very early on so we could all meet and get to know one another before being on the mountain. None of the other charities I looked at offered this and I believe this made a massive difference to how we all supported each other whilst on the Mountain - we were with friends not strangers. I have stayed in touch with everyone I climbed with and have made some very strong friendships. Climb Your Mountain have given me an experience of a lifetime which to be honest I never thought I could ever achieve. I am looking forward to creating some more fantastic memories and making lots of new friends through Climb Your Mountian new BIG challenges.

I found out about CYM through a friend who had already been on a CYM challenge. So I went along to one of the free courses offered by CYM and was so inspired that I signed up on the spot. Kilimanjaro was my challenge of choice and it was the most amazing experience of my life. The care and support offered by CYM was amazing, from the moment you sign up, to arrival back in UK they were there offering advice and guidance. From tips on how to fundraise to medical support they were brilliant! I highly recommend CYM.
