Winter Toubkal advice

Welcome Guest, to make a post on the forum you need to login or register.

Hi, am thinking of doing the winter toubkal trip. Would be interested in hearing from anyone who has done it. Am particularly interested in whereabouts on the trip the snow starts. I'm very fit and don't mind trekking in the snow but don't know if I fancy a full week of snow. Is it only a few days near summit or is it the entire trip? I have the option of waiting until later in the year if it's a better idea. Thanks.

Hi there,

I went a couple years back and you will probably half of the second day of the trek in the snow (the long day with a big walk)! And from there the summit day (obviously!) And then however long your up there for until you descend, so your looking probably 3 or 4, depending if you do the second peak the day after the summit.

It seems a good idea despite the cold and snow. The view is spectacular. Your post is a long time ago. Decided what to do? You went there despite the snow?
