Turkey in August

I'm sure you have the same small doubts and worries as me but then I suppose all holidays come with some of those. I looked at a number of holidays for solo travellers and this one suited me best - am a teacher so am limited to the school holidays. I was undecided for quite a long time but thought I'd better just go for it. Felt really excited when I finally booked - am banishing those doubts till nearer the time!

I'm also new to solo travelling and a bit nervous but glad to hear you booked for Turkey as I am also thinking about it for August, sounds like a great trip! Guess I'm nervous and still a bit undecisive :-O ........... what with everyone off doing dif things it's hard to get anyone to go away with so this seems like a good idea if I could just banish the small few worries I still have!

I'm thinking of booking the Turkey activity holiday as well, sadly not at the same time as you guys, dunno how you could handle it in August! Have either of you been on any of these holidays before or any other solo adventures?

I have travelled with Adventure company before, as a solo traveller but not on a specifically 'solo' holiday. All I can say is that it was fantastic - there were other solos, also friends and 2 couples, but everyone immediately had that shared interest in the holiday, so got on well from the start.
I know it's quite nerve racking at first, but don't worry, nerves will quickly disappear once you meet everyone!
I am booking a trip to India this year I think, in August, and probably going on my own.

See some of you guys are off to Turkey in Aug. I am on the adventure week from 27th, can't wait - a well deserved week of playing before I have to go back t the mnaic world of teaching!! Am so excited, would be great to know if anyone is playing at the sma time as me!!!

Sussquath - go at the end of August!!!! All of the people on the trip so far are on their own. I think thre are 7 of us, 6 girls and a lad. I can't wiat - especially to see some sun!!!

I am going on the Turkey trip on the 27th. I contacted the adventer co, so far there were 7 of us - 6 girls and a bloke - all booked as solo travellers, so we are all going to be in the smae boat! I can't wait. especially for the heat and a chance to play.

I def hope there is some dancing included!!!! I promise not to laugh at you!!!! I can't wait - esp for the sea kayaking - love it, makes a diference from my little river boat that is a bugger to go in a startght line. Bit concernced about the mountain biking though, I have a habit of going over handle bars - that's why I stick to the ones at the gym!!!

I'm staying at my Auntie's, otherwise I would have met with you. We will have to al try and spot each other at the airport. Not long to go now - looks like it's gona be a hot week!!!! Packing tomorrow - as I am flying down to Gatwick on Wed to stay ith my Auntie for 2 nights so very excited.

I love the heat!!! I wasn't impressed when I did the Edinburgh marathon in 25 degrees though - was nut fun!!! I can't wait - had a suggestion made which was to bring a camelback if you have one, for the biking.

I am thinking of going on the Turkey Activity Week starting the 27th of August. I would be traveling alone and interested if anyone else is booked on this trip and traveling on thier own, as this would be a first for me and would not really want to be the only person. Can any one else recomend this trip at all who has already been on this holiday. It does look really good fun, could just do with some reassurance I suppose...

I am now officially paid and booked for the Turkey trip 27 August... Yeah time to start getting excited now can't wait its going to be awsome, loads of activities, sunshine, relaxation and I expect a few beers thrown in for good measure, maybe even a dancefloor for me to make a fool out of myself somewhere, just have to wait and see :-)

Yeah I am also flying from Gatwick...
