Hi, we are also going to Heathrow from North London on 2nd April. I understand
we are all travelling on the Virgin flight which is great.

We are so excited about this trip. I am taking my daughter Chloe who is 13, its just
the two of us.

Its actually not that long! Am currently working out some practical stuff like the sort of 'musts' we should take and just ordered some anti mozzy non deet spray from Amazon.
We are giving the anti malaria tablets a miss and have decided not to get the JE injection.
Anyone got any useful info/comments on these two areas?

Look forward to meeting you all too

Hi, I had the JE injection because they had an outbreak last December. The one thing I would not miss is the anti malaria tabs...they are a must.....according to my doctor anyway. I have travelled in the past to this area (Sri Lanka) and always taken the tabs. I thought the flight was Jet Air.....now I'm confused.
Look forward to meeting you

Hi Kathy
About the anti malaria tabs. This is a low to no risk area, out of rainy season to boot. Strange how my doctor thought it would be fine.

After reading about JE, this affected relatively few (no British) out of a population of millions last Dec in rural areas of rice fields and pig farms which I assume we are not going near? The fact that we are also in India for very few days was also a plus side.

Would be interested to hear what others have picked up.

Hi, I just decided to join the trip as well. Jetair seems to be the airlines. I read in the notes about lots of vaccins but I guess it is already too late to do them now? In any case, I am no big fan of needless, so...

Can anyone comment - was told everyone now on the Virgin flight to Dehli on Monday 2nd April and therefore it was unnecessary for us to book our own sep. transfer (we booked our own flight) from Dehli to hotel.

Hi Carolyn

The group flight is the VS300, arriving into Delhi at 11am. So you can join the group transfer.

I hope that reassures you.

Kind regards

Sean
