we are the Weston's, Mom, Dad and 13 year old daughter from the West Midlands looking forward to our first adventure of this kind.
Hi Weston's. We're Charlie and Claire Fisher, and our two twin daughters Belle and Maddy, who are 11 (half-way through first year of secondary). We live in North London. The girls are beside themselves with excitement. 30 March cannot come soon enough! We've never done a trip like this together either. Think we're nearly there re. preparations. Visas sorted. And inoculations in the fridge waiting for us to get a chance to all go down to the GP for injections.
Hi, unfortunately our daughter, Hannah, does not share the same excitement
(or at least tries not to show it) all sorts of excuses why she does not want to go.
One of them, inoculations, sorted yeasterday so at least that's out the way and we have appointement on Monday to hopefully get the visa's - did you have any problems with them?
Like you we've never done anything like this before. Read a good article in Sunday news paper and decided to give it a go.
If fact we've started to refer to it as an adventure rather than a holiday - we may need one of those when we get back.

Hi. I think you're right about it being an adventure rather than a holiday. There's an awful lot to pack into 10 days.
Visas weren't too bad. Spent quite a lot of time doing the applications on the computer, and then simply turned up at the Visa Centre around Shoreditch in London. Took about an hour, even though I didn't realise I had to have photocopies of girls' passports and birth certs (they had a photocopier there, and I had the right change!). It's important to have the right photos too (large and square). We got ours from the booth in the post office, since they specifically mention Indian visas, though they also had one in the visa office.
