The option to Visit Saadani National Park was not viable. Tent with a View, who act as main agents, will not run it without 8 people ~ only 5 showed an interest. The Trip to the Jozani Forest to see the Red Colobus Monkey on Zanzibar was also not offered ~ the Zanzibar agent substituted a 3 island tour + lunch on a sandbank trip instead. By all accounts a great new option.
But, if you want to spend more time looking at wildlife this probably is not the tour for you. However...
Selous is a fantastic place to view Wildlife ~ 3 days is not long enough. Needed to fight hard to get the agents to run the game drive on the 3rd final day in Selous as everyone else opted for a trip to the Masaai and an afternoon "by the pool". But it was worth it...... my best day of Safari ever. My guide Hassani ~ a great companion and spotter of wildlife.
Optional excursions are not always available and sometimes need minimum numbers to operate. However, we are looking into making this clearer on our trip notes in future. We are glad that you enjoyed your time in Selous NP though and will pass on your positive feedback to Hassani.
