well..thats two of us.. haven't been away on my own before - so am a bit nervous and thought posting something on here might make me feel a little less ..well.. you know..
Have you been on a trip with The Adventure Company before? Have you been to Morocco before? How did it go?
yeh - looks great doesn't it!!?? Still thinking about what to pack weather wise?? Went travelling in Vietnam and Cambodia April this year - but had my ex to help carry stuff - figure a mix n match, although I don't supose it will be all that hot?? I still havent sorted flights/rail to Heathrow yet either...so un-organised!!
Ah well - at least there's two of us!!! I'd hate to be the only one!!
How do you know who's booked then? When I booked I was told there were people in their 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, oh and one in their 70's, but they didnt mention couples, groups or single travellers. Did you pay for the private room option - I didn't bother - I figure we're all in the same boat - so why waste the money.. I'm also stopping an extra night - as they didnt have flights to Heathrow on the 4th.
I think I'll pack warm tops for the evenings? Hopefully shorts during the day?? Oh - and a poncho in case it chucks it down!!
I just hope its not too wet or windy.. I know its December and all but they do suggest sun screen - so here's hoping!!
Elaine
I think I'll fly from Manchester - although - I live in North Wales - Gwynedd - so it will mean lift to the airport (2 1/2hrs) then the flight down - or rail from Bangor (an hour away) to Paddington - then Heathrow - I haven't decided yet - its a hassle either way - but figure flight may be easier on the whole carrying business!!!
how are you getting down from Glasgow - Flight i guess?
I know - how annoying - I asked them if they could book my flight for me - as at least then - if one's delayed - they have to sort out susequent flights - but no go there - I agree the whole train thing is a pain = I may have to get one from Bangor to Manchester as it is!! Urgh - hassle!!
Also just looked at my sleeping bag and its a 2 season - and they recommend 3/4 for winter in Morocco!!! Looks like I'll be shopping..again..! :)
yehh, at last - booked my flight - less than 4 weeks to go!! woopwoop 80)
getting close now - although the excitement has still not prompted me into getting my stuff sorted - still no idea as to how many pairs of shorts v's how many sets of long john's haha!!! we should organise a meet up place before the flight - what do you think?
Elaine
ooppss - ok - jabs - what have you had - as I didnt think i needed any more from the usual suspects i got before Vietnam - anything i should know??? will have to search out my card and see what i need - not good as i've a week packed at work and with the festivities having started - i'm all booked up time wise - but - will have to sort somat out - i think i get in just after 12 - so - yeh - heathrow is big - let me know your number via e.mail - i'm going to pick up a pay as you go sim to take - just in case i loose my phone - or i'd send you mine... e.mails - username @hotmail.co.uk.. speak soon - wwer - getting excited now yeeha!!

yes, ive booked up for that trip. x
hi, yes i have traveled alone before, ive been with this company 2 times, last year i traveled to india over xmas and new year, i really enjoyed it, met some lovely people.
we all were really looked after by the travel guide too.
you need to travel fairly light as my first trip away i took far too much stuff, then my last trip i never took any thing for tummy bugs etc. so im alot wiser, but i am sure to forget some thing.
you will enjoy it. x
never been to morocco
ive just had a look at the photo gallery for marocco, its worth having a look.
sounds like you are well traveled, ive never been to thoses places, yet.
im preparing for all weathers i do not know what sort of weather to expect. but im sure it will be better than here.
last i knew too was we are the only 2 single travelers on the trip.
when i booked it i asked who was going, i think they said 2 couples, and they told me there was another single lady going.
i booked a single room, was not too much, with any luck if you are the only other single lady youll get your own room too.
think im taking much the same as you.
ive looked at the weather for morocco and its in the 60's at the mo, so lets hope it stays that way.
where are you traveling from, im traveling from glasgow.
cathy
yes booked my flight, should get to heathrow for about 1230, i looked at trains and its too expensive and loads of hassle too.
i take it you could not get a flight direct from manchester to morocco. i couldnt find one from glasgow.
im about an hour away from glasgow, thankfully a friend is running me in as there are no trains direct to glasgow or edinburgh airport which is rubbish.
cathy
yes, i agree i asked if they could book my flight too, no go for me either, and glasgow may be reducing flights in dec so im hoping they dont.
im just taking my sleeping bag and a mummy lining it goes down to -2 (its about 6 years old, but hardly used) im hoping it will be warm enough as i do not want to spend too much money before i go.
lowest temp this week is 7 c by night and 24 c by day this week.

great stuff, i booked my flight in oct, good job too prices have doubled.
will not be long now.
im looking forwards to xmas and new year in a new place. with camels !!
yes not long now, im just about sorted, animals and house sitter all ready, all jabs up to date, some very painful ones too. just checked the weather and its in the 70's f with some rain fall. so its much better than here.
my flight out of glasgow is 1030, trouble is its very foggy up here at the mo, so im hoping it will improve.
sounds like a good idea to meet, best thing i think is ill email my number to you heathrow is a big place.
