Hi out there, I normally do more cycling than walking so I'm wondering if there really is a need for walking sticks as mentioned in the trip notes. Happy hiking.
Trevor.

Hi Trevor
We generally recommend taking walking poles as when you are doing lots of walking they take some of the impact away from your knees. When I have done walks I have found them particularly useful on downhill stretches (where the impact on my knees is greater).
However some walkers dont like using them, so it's really down to personal preference.
You can pick up a reasonable pair (with shock absorbers, adjustable height etc) for around £15. although high end versions are much more than this.
I hope that's useful.
Kind regards

Hi
I was wondering if trekking shoes would be fine to wear instead of walking boots?
Thanks :)
