Kasbah Trail 23rd March
Hello
I have just booked onto this tour plus the Essaouira extension and it would be great to hear from others on the same trip. A friend of mine did this trip about 3-4 years ago at the same time of year and loved it.

Hi Andrea
I'm booked on this one too, but without the extension as I'm travelling down from Chester.
Really looking forward to it, with hopefully some warm weather!!
All the best
Helen
Hi Helen
Good to hear from you. A friend of mine did this exact same trip about 3 years ago and really recommended it - looks like a great variety of things to see and do. I hope we will get a bit of warm weather too but suspect it will be chilly in the mountains so I will be taking my sleeping bag and a thermal layer just in case!
Best wishes
Andrea
Hi Helen
This holiday is coming round very quickly now and I got the final documentation from the Adventure Company this week. Did you book your flights with them too? If so, I don't know if you fancy meeting up at Heathrow for a pre flight drinkie on the Satuday?
Best wishes
Andrea
Hi Andrea
Yes I've booked the flights from Heathrow too.
I'm coming down on the train to Euston, arriving about 12ish and then making my way to Heathrow.
It would be good if we could meet up, I've not flown from Heathrow for yrs so a bit sketchy on the setup.
Any suggestions?
All the best, 2 weeks and counting!
Helen
Hi Helen
I am very much looking forward to the holiday though I am not at all organised for the it yet - it's my task for the weekend! I wonder if you are taking walking boots or just trainers? Also will you be taking a sleeping bag? It sounds like it could be chilly at night.
Ah that's good that we will be on the same flight. I can never remember which terminal is which at Heathrow and the layouts seem to always be changing. I have looked it up and we could meet at the Bridge Bar which is after security. Maybe about 3.30pm? It depends a bit how long it takes to get through security. What do you reckon?

Look forward to meeting you soon.

Hi Andrea
I'm semi organised but keep changing my mind!
Started with boots but then changed to my mid way trainer/boot. Now not sure!!
I'm a real chilly bod so taking a sleeping bag but now worried about carrying it - too much to think about!
Has a look at the weather and Marrakech is getting pretty hot but they've had rain too so even more options.
Bridge bar sounds good, as you say all depends on security. I do prefer to get airside and the relax.
Do we need a signal, like in spy films? I will obviously be alone with an enormous black rucksack.
Looking forward to it.
Off for a trial packing run. All the best.
Helen
Hi Helen
It sounds like you are more organised than me then! I phoned Adventure Company today and they definitely recommended walking boots and I am also going to take a walking pole as I am the least agile person I know! It sounds like there are plenty of blankets at the Berber camps so I am just going to take a silk liner rather than my sleeping bag. I also looked at the weather and am now not sure what to do about rain gear. I will probably just take a kag in a bag type jacket and an emergency poncho as I don't really want to carry my full winter jacket.
In terms of meeting up, I am 6 foot tall (not much use if I am sitting down!), will be wearing a red fleece and will sit in the Bridge Bar around 3.30/4.00pm looking slightly ridiculous with a blown up balloon next to me! Hopefully then we can meet up.
Really looking forward to our forthcoming adventure.
Best wishes
Andrea
Hi Andrea
I've plumped for boots and I'll be taking a pole too!
Just seen the weather for here and it's abit chilly so I'll have to travel down in my black waterproof.
As for meeting up I'm only 5ft 4!! Short brown bob.
Fingers crossed we manage to find each other.
See you Saturday :-)
