Hi Amanda,
I booked about a month ago and I think I was number 8 - which I think is the minimum number for the trip to go ahead! Like you - can't wait. Not living somewhere where I could drop off my visa application form personally, I used the travcour visa service to get the visa. It took less than a week with special royal mail delivery both ways - so you shouldn't have any problems.
I am flying out from Manchester rather than Heathrow - which the "Adventure Company" fixed up for me - so see you in India!
Steve
Re Previous Post - Is anyone else on this trip flying from Manchester?

Hi Amanda,
No I didn't have anything for Malaria. The nurse at the health centre (who is a specialist "travel" nurse shared between a number of health centres) said that the part of India we are going to hasn't got any malaria. On the malaria map it is confined to the North (and Goa for some odd reason). Got the others though - Tetanus, polio and typoid in one arm - and Hep A in the other. Was rather suprised (and thankful) it was free!

Hi Steve
Me too - I just confirmed. There were eight booked last week, me the ninth.
Can't wait! All I need is my visa. Hope there are no delays.
Amanda
Hi Steve
Have you been advised that you need anti-malarials for this trip? I'm getting contradictory messages - the trip notes say yes, but the website they refer to suggests not. Same with people I know who have been to Kerala: one says yes, another no.
Thanks
Amanda
PS I could of course consult a medical professional! It may yet come to that...
Steve
Me again. I actually did just go to a travel clinic, where the nurse confirmed that anti-malarials are not necessary. Phew.
